Easy and Decorative Yard Lighting Options
I’m a lazy person. I also don’t like to spend a lot of money. So when my wife asked me about brightening up our lawn with yard lighting I tried to just turn up the volume on Monday Night Football in hopes the inquiry would go away. It didn’t. So now I’ve made this website. I heard people can make money off their research so here goes. This blog is my pure and unbiased take on the easiest and cheapest decorative yard lighting ideas.
The Lawn Lights Illuminated Outdoor Decoration, LED from Amazon called my name. They’re for people who want a great holiday lighting display but don’t want to spend a lot of money. Bing! No, really I prefer Google but joking aside, these sound like awesome lights. They are made using warm white LEDs or Light Emitting Diodes. I’m sure that acronym breakdown really cleared things up.
Anyways, these got 2 really good reviews on Amazon.com and the only knock may be they’re not that bright – if that’s a slight. I mean if you’re playing baseball then yeah, but aren’t these just for decoration anyway? If you want the halogen get some flood lights. The price is $49.88 and the website says “$15 – $20 for 1000 square feet”. I don’t know how exactly that translates to someone with a yard just trying to buy some lights but unlike others I researched, I didn’t see how many came in a package.
During the day the description says you won’t be able to see them and at night they show their brilliance. Easy to install in 15 to 30 minutes and come with instruction manual. Overall, I liked how these sounded but again the pricing had me a little bit buffaloed so onward we go.
I next navigated my way over to Home Depot’s more expensive young brother, Lowe’s. (Why the apostrophes?) Although, I’d give their stuff the edge over Amazon, their website isn’t as helpful. Customer reviews are available but they’re few and far between. Also, the descriptions are lacking. But we must trudge forward. They had the Yards & Beyond 8-Pack High Output Stainless Steel Landscape Light Kit for $88. The light kind of reminds me of an alien but with that comes a high-tech, sleek looking light made of an indiscriminate silver (I can’t really tell you how I came to indiscriminate).
These are solar yard lights and supposedly are super bright yard lights, going 6x brightness of that of a mortal light. Stay lighted for 8 to 10 hours which should cover nights in most places.
That’s enough writing for now, we’ll continue on this path next time.
